InstantQuote On The
Bob Boyd Sounds!
Although the Bob Boyd Trio was around for many years, The Bob Boyd Sounds, Bob, David, Pat and Randy, have been playing as a unit for over 10 years now. Each year, they play more than 100 wedding receptions and anniversary celebrations, birthday parties and company functions. They have presented their show in numerous locations, and have appeared live several times on Channel 7’s “Good Morning Arkansas.” Their music is an eclectic mix that includes pop standards, big band swing, 4 part harmonies a la the 4 Freshmen and Manhattan Transfer. At each performance, their goal is to present a series of pleasant surprises, and to bring back memories of happy times. Don’t expect their songs to sound alike. They are frequently told “I liked every song you played!”
Bob Boyd, pianist and vocalist, has been a working musician in Arkansas for over 50 years. He founded, owned and operated Boyd Music Center for 38 years, and now is consultant for Sigler Music Center. David Higginbotham, string bassist and lead vocalist, teaches at an elementary school and is a church music director and also plays guitar. Pat Henry, trumpet, trombone, flute and vocals, is a teacher, music director and piano technician, and also plays many other instruments. Randy McDonald, drums and vocal, is sound engineer at Zanbeck Studios, also plays piano and bass. The “Sounds” have commercially released one other album, “The Bob Boyd Sounds Like Christmas.”
